IMPORTING SCOUTING DATA INTO DC1

SAVING AN OFFENSIVE PLAYLIST

It is important to first consolidate all of your "playlists" of scouted plays in your video tool.

  1. Select all films that you want included in your "scouting data"

  2. Change the "ODK" to "O"

  3. Save the playlist to the desired area

CREATING A "DC1 COLUMN SET" IN HUDL

In order to export the formation and play data to Hudl we need to make the column set "uniform".

  1. Click on "Change Columns"

  2. Click on "Manage Sets"

  3. Click on "Create a New Set"

  4. Enter a Set Name

  5. Click on "Add This Set"

  6. Select Play #, Off Form, Off Play so that they stay on right side under "Displayed Columns"

  7. Click "Save This Set"

EXPORTING SCOUTING DATA FROM HUDL

* Hudl now exports as a .csv so there is NO reason to convert from .xls to .csv *

  1. Click on your customized column set

  2. Click on the 3 dots to right of screen

  3. In the drop down menu select "Export Data to Excel"

  4. Name the spreadsheet

  5. Save the spreadsheet where you will be able to find it.

UPLOAD SCOUTING DATA TO iCLOUD

We need to get the scouting data to your iPad and we will use iCloud to do that.  Your iCloud account goes wherever you do, so it gives us mobility.

  1. Open a browser window and type www.icloud.com

  2. Log in with your Apple ID and password

  3. Cllck on your "iCloud Drive"

  4. Click on the "Upload" icon 

  5. Find your .csv file and import it

  6. Your playlist is now in your iCloud

SEEING YOUR SCOUTING DATA IN DC1

To start our "scouting" library in DC1 so we need to complete a DC1 "import" 

  1. From the DC1 home screen go to "Scout Team"

  2. Find the opponent the scouting data pertains to and select that team.

  3. Under the game There is a button in red labeled "Scout" - select it

  4. Click on "Import"

  5. It will open up a window with your iCloud drive.  If you are asked what you want to open here (iCloud drive, On my iPad, etc. - Select iCloud Drive

  6. Find your .csv file and press on it

  7. Name the play list and select "Create"

CONVERTING FORMATIONS TO DC1

We need to recognize formations in the DC1 Tool.  You can actually put the offensive players in the correct formation or just save it without moving personnel.  However, MAKE SURE YOU SAVE THE CORRECT PERSONNEL GROUPING

(ex: 21 personnel - 2 RBs and 1 TE)

  1. If the formation has never been named in DC1 it will be in red in "unmatched plays"

  2. Click "Create" - Assign Personnel 1st!

    1. Press on "Formation Personnel"​

    2. Choose correct # of RBs and TEs

  3. Move the personnel where you would like them by pressing down on the position and dragging.  Release when you have the position you want.

CONVERTING PLAYS TO DC1

We need to recognize plays in the DC1 Tool.  You can actually draw paths for the offensive players or just save it without moving personnel.  However, MAKE SURE YOU MARK "RUN" OR "PASS"

  1. Use the approriate play tool from left hand side of screen and then press the desired player and press desired route.  If you have a cut then hit the cut spot first and then continue the path.

  2. If you make a mistake click the "player" 2 taps and redraw the route.

  3. When done click "Save"
